ServiceTitan Pricing: Plans, Per-Technician Costs & Contract Terms

ServiceTitan does not currently publish dollar prices for Starter, Essentials, or The Works. Its public pricing page describes the model as per-technician pricing, and buyers must request a personalized quote.

That means the real ServiceTitan cost can extend well beyond a simple technician multiplier. Depending on the account, the commitment can include paid user subscriptions, a Minimum Subscription Level, Pro Products, professional services, payment processing, communications usage, pass-through charges, and contract-specific terms.

Home Service Fit does not treat online estimates such as $245, $300, or $500 per technician as official ServiceTitan rates. Instead, this guide explains what is publicly verifiable and what you need to get in writing before signing.

How ServiceTitan Pricing Actually Works

“Per Technician” Is the Public Headline, Not the Whole Billing Model

ServiceTitan’s current pricing page explicitly describes its subscription model as per-technician pricing.

But its current Terms define several user categories, including:

  • Field Users;
  • Administrative Users;
  • Office Users;
  • Paid Authorized Users.

A Field User generally refers to someone responsible for customer jobs, install crews, or revenue-producing field activity. Administrative Users can include dispatchers, schedulers, call-center staff, managers, sales staff, customer support, and similar roles. Some Administrative User types may be included in specified quantities depending on the package or account terms.

So do not assume:

employee count × one technician price = ServiceTitan invoice.

Ask sales to specify:

  • number and price of paid Field User subscriptions;
  • number of included admin/office users;
  • any additional paid office/admin subscriptions;
  • rules for assigning and reassigning paid subscriptions.

Check the Minimum Subscription Level

ServiceTitan’s current Terms also allow some customers to have a contractual Minimum Subscription Level.

If one applies, the business must continue paying for at least that number of relevant Authorized User subscriptions during the applicable term—even if actual staffing later falls below it.

There is no current public universal minimum such as “every ServiceTitan customer needs at least three technicians.”

The only useful answer is the one on your quote:

Does this Order Form contain a Minimum Subscription Level, and exactly what is it?

Adding and Removing Users Are Not Symmetrical

Current Terms say additional subscriptions can be added during the term, with fees prorated for partial months.

But monthly billing is based on:

  • subscriptions present at the beginning of the billing period;
  • plus prorated newly added subscriptions;
  • without a same-period reduction for subscriptions removed during that period.

There are also restrictions around reassigning Paid Authorized User subscriptions.

That matters for:

  • seasonal businesses;
  • technician turnover;
  • shrinking teams;
  • restructuring office and field roles.

Do not assume that removing a technician halfway through a billing period immediately produces a proportional reduction on that period’s invoice.

ServiceTitan user cost factors including field users, office users, paid subscriptions, and minimum subscription level

ServiceTitan Plans: Starter vs Essentials vs The Works

ServiceTitan currently publishes three core packages, but none has a public dollar price.

PlanPublic PriceMain Included LayerPractical Upgrade Trigger
StarterRequest PricingDispatching, Scheduling, Call Booking, Invoicing, PricebookCore operating workflow is enough
EssentialsRequest PricingStarter layer plus Mobile Estimates and Payroll ManagementField sales/estimate and payroll workflow requires more depth
The WorksRequest PricingDeeper payroll plus Advanced Reporting, Commission Tracking, Customizable MembershipsBusiness needs more advanced management, reporting, compensation, or membership functionality

Starter covers the basic operating system around dispatch, scheduling, call booking, invoicing, and Pricebook.

Essentials currently adds capabilities such as Mobile Estimates and Payroll Management.

The Works currently adds or deepens functionality including Configurable Payroll, Advanced Reporting, Commission Tracking, and Customizable Memberships.

This is not a complete feature matrix.

The pricing question that matters is:

Which is the lowest package that supports the workflows your company genuinely uses?

Buying The Works for one required capability—or assuming Starter includes functionality seen elsewhere in a demo—can materially change the quote.

Costs Beyond the Core ServiceTitan Package

Pro Products and Add-Ons

ServiceTitan also sells a separate premium Pro Products layer.

The current Pro suite includes:

  • Marketing Pro;
  • Contact Center Pro;
  • Scheduling Pro;
  • Dispatch Pro;
  • Fleet Pro;
  • Field Pro;
  • Pricebook Pro.

These products extend the core platform into areas such as marketing automation, AI/contact-center workflows, online scheduling, automated dispatch, fleet management, field intelligence, and advanced Pricebook management.

Do not assume:

  • every Pro Product is included in The Works;
  • every Pro Product uses the same pricing model;
  • a capability demonstrated during sales is included in the quoted core package.

Ask for every Pro Product discussed during the sales process to appear as a distinct line item or clearly documented inclusion on the written quote.

ServiceTitan Pro Products including Marketing Pro, Contact Center Pro, Scheduling Pro, Dispatch Pro, Fleet Pro, Field Pro, and Pricebook Pro
ServiceTitan’s Pro Products add specialized capabilities alongside the core platform, including marketing, contact center, scheduling, dispatch, fleet, field, and pricebook tools.

Onboarding, Implementation, Migration, and Training

Professional services can create a separate cost layer.

ServiceTitan’s FY2026 annual filing describes professional services including:

  • onboarding;
  • implementation and optimization;
  • accounting migration;
  • customer-data migration;
  • consulting;
  • training.

The latest quarterly filing says professional-services revenue is primarily generated from onboarding, training, and some ongoing services, and that fees are generally invoiced separately at contract commencement or when ordered by the customer.

The exact:

  • scope;
  • deliverables;
  • schedule;
  • price;

remain account-specific.

Ask:

  • What onboarding is included?
  • What implementation is separately charged?
  • Is customer-data migration included?
  • Is accounting migration included?
  • What training is included?
  • Which charges are one-time?
  • Which work requires a separate statement of work?

Do not use third-party claims such as 5,000–50,000 implementation as ServiceTitan facts.

ServiceTitan Payments

ServiceTitan currently does not publish a universal merchant rate for Payments.

Its Payments FAQ says merchant pricing is custom and instructs buyers to contact the Payments team for account-specific rates.

Before signing, ask for:

  • card-processing rate;
  • ACH/bank-transfer rate;
  • transaction fees;
  • monthly merchant fees;
  • funding charges;
  • refund costs;
  • chargeback/dispute fees.

The fact that payment processing happens inside ServiceTitan does not mean its cost is included in the core software subscription.

SMS, TCR, Telecom, and Other Pass-Through Costs

Messaging can also create usage and regulatory cost layers.

Current ServiceTitan messaging documentation estimates the carrier surcharge component at roughly $5 per 1,000 messages, plus a fixed $10/month TCR fee. It currently models average 10DLC messaging-related charges at roughly 20–50 per month, while warning that actual usage can vary materially.

These numbers are not a universal total ServiceTitan SMS price.

ServiceTitan’s Terms also allow certain third-party telecommunications, messaging, regulatory, and access costs to be passed through to customers.

Treat carrier/TCR charges as:

current estimates and pass-through costs subject to change, not hidden fees or guaranteed fixed rates.

How to Get a ServiceTitan Quote You Can Actually Compare

Ask ServiceTitan for one written quote or Order Form that shows the whole configuration.

Do not compare a complete ServiceTitan quote with a competitor’s cheapest advertised plan.

Line ItemWhat to Ask For
Core PackageStarter, Essentials, or The Works
Field UsersQuantity and price of paid technician/field subscriptions
Office / Admin UsersIncluded quantity and any paid subscriptions
Minimum Subscription LevelExact contractual floor, if one applies
Pro ProductsProduct name, pricing unit, recurring fee, and usage charges
Professional ServicesImplementation, onboarding, migration, optimization, consulting, training
PaymentsAccount-specific merchant rates and other processing fees
CommunicationsSMS, TCR, telephony, carrier, regulatory, and usage charges
ContractStart/end dates, renewal mechanism, notice requirements, billing cadence
Price ChangesWhich prices are fixed and which can change

Before the sales call, document your real operating requirements:

  • number of revenue-producing field users;
  • office/admin roles;
  • dispatch workflow;
  • estimating requirements;
  • Pricebook needs;
  • payroll/commission workflow;
  • memberships;
  • reporting requirements;
  • Pro Products;
  • migration scope;
  • Payments volume;
  • SMS/phone usage.

Then compare like-for-like configurations.

A $29 or $59 competitor starting price is not a meaningful comparison if the required replacement setup needs higher plans, add-ons, phone products, implementation, or separate tools.

ServiceTitan Contract, Billing & Price-Change Terms

Contract Term and Billing Frequency Are Different Questions

This is one of the most important ServiceTitan pricing distinctions.

ServiceTitan’s latest quarterly filing says new customers primarily enter annual or multi-year subscription agreements, typically 12–36 months. Certain Pro-product and legacy customers remain month-to-month.

At the same time, ServiceTitan says it generally invoices customers monthly in advance regardless of contract term.

So:

12–36 month agreement ≠ 12–36 months paid upfront.

Get four separate items in writing:

  • contract start date;
  • contract end date;
  • invoice frequency;
  • renewal mechanism.

Your Order Form Controls the Actual Term

The current ServiceTitan Terms, updated September 16, 2026, use a different rule for accounts without a separate written agreement.

If an Order Form or another written agreement exists, the term specified there governs.

If the Terms are the only agreement, the subscription is currently month-to-month, automatically renewing unless either side provides at least 30 days’ written non-renewal notice.

Both facts can be true:

  • ServiceTitan says most new customers are sold annual/multi-year contracts;
  • its standard Terms contain a month-to-month fallback when no separate Order Form controls.

Your actual Order Form is the source of truth.

Early Termination Can Mean the Remaining Commitment

Current Terms state that if a customer terminates before an agreed term ends, the early-termination fee can equal all remaining payments under that commitment, subject to applicable exceptions.

That means the relevant buying question is not simply:

“What will our monthly invoice be?”

It is:

“What total contractual commitment are we signing?”

Before agreeing, calculate the total expected commitment across:

  • core subscriptions;
  • Pro Products;
  • separately invoiced services;
  • known recurring charges.

Check Which Prices Are Fixed

Unless a written agreement says otherwise, ServiceTitan’s current Terms allow pricing changes with at least 30 days’ advance notice.

The Terms also say that, where no Minimum Subscription Level applies, ServiceTitan may elect to increase pricing if Field User subscription count decreases over time.

That does not mean every customer’s price will increase after reducing technicians.

It means you should ask explicitly:

  • Which rates are fixed for the contract term?
  • Which can change?
  • What happens if Field User count drops?
  • Which telecom/usage charges are pass-through?
  • How will renewal pricing be communicated?

Why Online ServiceTitan Cost Estimates Vary So Much

Search results contain a wide range of reported ServiceTitan costs.

That does not create an official rate card.

Actual ServiceTitan quotes can vary with:

  • package;
  • number of Field Users;
  • other Paid Authorized Users;
  • Minimum Subscription Level;
  • Pro Products;
  • professional services;
  • Payments;
  • usage;
  • contract length;
  • negotiated or promotional terms.

ServiceTitan’s FY2026 reporting also says customer contracts can depend on number of users, product mix, end-customer count, and gross transaction value, while subscription pricing is generally linked to customer size—often technician count, but in some cases other business metrics.

So an online $X per tech figure may reflect a real buyer’s historical quote.

It is not a universal ServiceTitan price.

The most reliable pricing document is the current Order Form offered to your business.

ServiceTitan Pricing vs Jobber, Housecall Pro, and FieldPulse

The important difference is the pricing structure, not which product is universally cheapest.

ServiceTitan

  • Request Pricing;
  • public per-technician model;
  • personalized Order Form;
  • possible Minimum Subscription Level;
  • Pro Product, usage, and professional-service layers.

Jobber

  • public plan pricing;
  • visible included-user structures;
  • multiple public billing options.

For the full plan structure and billing options, see our Jobber pricing guide.

Housecall Pro

  • public standard/general pricing;
  • visible included-user counts;
  • published monthly and annual-billing options.

For current plans, included users, and billing options, see our Housecall Pro pricing guide.

FieldPulse

  • custom seat-based pricing;
  • different access needs can affect seat pricing;
  • optional premium products can change the quote.

For a deeper breakdown of its custom seat-based pricing, see our FieldPulse pricing guide.

ServiceTitan generally requires more quote-level diligence because buyers cannot calculate the complete commitment from the public page.

That does not make it inherently more expensive.

For broader replacement analysis, see our ServiceTitan alternatives guide.

Is ServiceTitan Pricing a Fit for a Small Home-Service Business?

ServiceTitan is not automatically inappropriate for a small company.

But smaller teams should be especially careful to evaluate the complete configuration rather than focusing only on per-technician positioning.

Review:

  • number of paid Field Users;
  • included versus paid office/admin users;
  • any Minimum Subscription Level;
  • required package;
  • required Pro Products;
  • implementation and training;
  • migration;
  • payment and communication costs;
  • total contractual commitment.

A smaller business may decide that ServiceTitan’s operational depth justifies the quote.

Another may discover that the required package, Pro Products, onboarding burden, and contract structure exceed what its workflow actually needs.

There is no responsible universal threshold such as:

“ServiceTitan only makes sense above X technicians or $Y revenue.”

Evaluate the business that exists today and the operating complexity it genuinely needs.

If you are still comparing broader options for a smaller service business, see our handyman software guide.

FAQs

How Much Does ServiceTitan Cost Per Month?

ServiceTitan does not currently publish one universal monthly dollar amount.

Its public pricing page describes pricing as per technician and uses Request Pricing for Starter, Essentials, and The Works.

Your monthly invoice depends on the actual user configuration, products, services, usage, and Order Form.

Does ServiceTitan Charge Per Technician?

Yes. ServiceTitan publicly describes its pricing as per technician.

However, its Terms also define Administrative, Office, and other Paid Authorized User types, and some accounts can have a Minimum Subscription Level.

So the total account price should not be reduced to one technician multiplier.

Is There a Minimum Number of Technicians for ServiceTitan?

ServiceTitan does not currently publish one universal platform-wide technician minimum.

Its Terms allow an account-specific Minimum Subscription Level, which should appear in the buyer’s agreement if applicable.

Do not confuse separate referral-program qualification criteria with a universal purchasing minimum.

Does ServiceTitan Have a Free Trial?

ServiceTitan’s current public acquisition flow promotes a free personalized demo, not a self-serve free trial.

Recheck the live acquisition flow before signing because offers can change.

Does ServiceTitan Charge an Implementation Fee?

There is no universal public implementation amount.

ServiceTitan’s FY2026 filings confirm that separately invoiced professional services can include onboarding, implementation/optimization, accounting migration, customer-data migration, consulting, and training.

The actual cost and scope are quote-specific.

Can You Cancel ServiceTitan at Any Time?

It depends on the agreement.

Where an Order Form or other written agreement exists, its term governs.

If the current Terms are the only agreement, subscriptions are month-to-month with at least 30 days’ written non-renewal notice.

Ending a committed term early can trigger an early-termination fee equal to the remaining payments.
